Mojo trait

OptionallyStaticInt

Trait for integer values that may be statically known at compile time.

Implementors carry a comptime static_value that is Some when the integer is a compile-time constant and None when it is a runtime value. This lets callers specialise code at compile time (eliminating kernel arguments) while retaining a uniform runtime interface through __int__ and as_uint32().

Implemented traits

AnyType, Copyable, ImplicitlyCopyable, ImplicitlyDeletable, Intable, Movable, RegisterPassable, TrivialRegisterPassable

Required methods

__init__

def __init__(out self, *, copy: Self)

Create a new instance of the value by copying an existing one.

Args:

  • copy (_Self): The value to copy.

Returns:

_Self

def __init__(out self, *, deinit move: Self)

Create a new instance of the value by moving the value of another.

Args:

  • move (_Self): The value to move.

Returns:

_Self

as_uint32

def as_uint32(self) -> UInt32

Returns:

UInt32

__int__

def __int__(self) -> Int

Get the integral representation of the value.

Returns:

Int: The integral representation of the value.

Provided methods

copy

def copy(self) -> Self

Explicitly construct a copy of self, a convenience method for Self(copy=self) when the type is inconvenient to write out.

Overriding this method is not allowed.

Returns:

_Self: A copy of this value.
